GRAMMY Recording Foundation Signature School:
Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School
Just as the GRAMMY Award recognizes excellence in recording, the GRAMMY Foundation Signature Schools Program recognizes the top 41 public high schools in the country for outstanding commitment to their music education programs. Determined on the basis of a scoring system applied and critiqued by top music educators and professionals, B-CC HS is one of 41 public high schools across the country to receive a certificate of recognition based on its high level of commitment to music education, and a $1,000 grant to benefit its music program.
The award will be presented to principal Katy Harvey and music directors Marshall White and Matthew Hartman at the GRAMMY Foundation/7 UP Award Presentation concert on Tuesday night, May 18th, at B-CC HS. Concert begins at 6:30 pm.
